About Us

Portland Lutheran Parish

Bang, Bruflat and Perry Lutheran Churches joined together on March 1, 1991 forming the Portland Lutheran Parish. The setup of the Parish has benefited each church individually and ultimately served the purpose of knowing Christ and making him known.

Each church maintains its own identity, Sunday school programs, women's and men's groups, councils and have worship services every Sunday.

By all the churches coming together all of our churches remain active, flourishing and are able to provide strong growth together in many areas. Some of the areas that have been thriving and prospering are Parish Wide Worship services, Wednesday Night Worship (Cornerstone), Parish Youth Program, Confirmation Program, Parish Gospel Choir, and Parish Ladies Group.

Growing one's Faith is a life long journey

Each church maintains individual Sunday school programs while confirmation is run parish wide. The Christian Education Team plans and coordinates overall education from baptism through graduation using Faith Milestones. The goal is to ignite a life long passion for understanding the Bible and Catechism.

Staff

The Parish staff serve all three congregations and provides chaplaincy services to Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.
